Studer B67 II導入記 - Happy reel life begins with Studer B67 II.....

Studer B67 II from Italy
To reduce shipping cost, Studer B67 II was dis-assembly to two boxes for delivery.  And for amateur like me, it took me about four and half hours to assembly it back (due to lack of proper tools) and two hours of "hot" mails with seller for solving capstan motor no function issue....Hard works (because it is heavy) but lots of funs and a good lesson to know tape recorder better.
        It came like this.....
Naked B67
Base cover on.....so it can sit now.
Also change main power to 120V/60Hz.
        Capstan motor alone....
Need proper tools to reach the deep inside next time....so it took me almost one hour to fix capstan motor.
Next disaster happened...Left roller....it took me about half hour to find the right way to assembly it back....
Put on turntables and left roller......
         Front cover is on.....
         Tension rollers on.....
Change connectors panel from back to top......
         Back cover on.....
        Head block was on.....
All module cards on position......and bottom-front cover
         Head block cover on position.....
         Can power on.......but capstan motor didn't work.......orz......
After about two hours of hot mails with seller.....the root cause is wrong connection (below photo)
         Right connection.....leave first pin empty.....
        Happy reel life begun......but.....
         Digital timer not working.......
Enjoy my master dubs first.....although the timer is always zero!  It will be fixed when I have spare recorder....Hahaha......Great sound even with 2 track/7.5ips of pre-recorded tapes!
